TEXTBOOK AND MATERIALS COSTS:
Students are allowed to use their federal financial aid to help pay the costs of books, course materials, supplies, tools, and equipment that are issued directly to the student in accordance with the student’s Enrollment Agreement. Alternately, students may choose to have these charges removed from their Enrollment Agreement and billing statement and arrange to purchase them elsewhere (opt out).
TEXTBOOKS, SUPPLIES, AND MATERIALS - PURCHASE OPT OUT:
If the student chooses to purchase these items elsewhere, there is an itemized Books and Supplies Cost List available from the Admissions Office that includes identifying information such as ISBN numbers, model numbers, etc. and the price currently charged by the School for each item. Certain items and supplies that are purchased in bulk by the School may also be provided to students as needed at no charge.
If the student chooses to opt out, the School will attempt to process any projected credit balance derived from expected federal student financial aid (and any funds from other sources which are actually paid by the seventh calendar day of the payment period) by the seventh calendar day of the payment period. Since federal student aid is not usually sufficient to pay all the direct costs in a payment period, it is extremely unlikely that such a credit balance will be available. Therefore, "opting out" will likely mean that you will need to pay for these items yourself and wait for any potentiual reimbursement.
Charles and Sue's School of Hair Design provides complete disclosure regarding the required texts, software, tools and other supplemental items that are required for each academic program in the Books and Supplies Cost List. The Cost List disclosure includes the charge for each individual item if purchased directly from the School, the ISBN or model numbers (if applicable) and/or other information to help a student identify acceptable substitutes for items provided through the School.
A paper copy of the Books and Supplies Cost List can also be obtained from the Admissions Office or by calling Charles and Sue's School of Hair Design at: (979) 776-4375.
